About
Kelli Blanchett is a rising alt-folk musician and songwriter from the Midlands, whose music explores the disabled experience and the shifting sands of love, friendships, and feeling crap.
Kelli, long time collaborator of pop-artist Self Esteem, has embarked on her solo journey having created her new EP, Casual Dining, for release March 2026. The EP has been produced by James Bagshaw (from the band Temples) and is reminiscent of the nostalgic, dulcet and mournful tones of 70s singer songwriters like Carole King and Linda Ronstadt and more recent artists like Laura Marling and Adrianne Lenker.
Her first EP, Crosses, was produced by Self Esteem (Rebecca Lucy Taylor) and released in early 2024. Her music has been used on Channel 4’s Big Mood, played on Radio 1, and she was chosen as BBC Introducing’s Artist of the Week.
Having taken time out for most of 2024 (while her chronic illness kicked her ass),she wrote a new EP chronicling her journey navigating being a fun gal whilst also being ill at the same time.
